  • Description

The VNA6 is a portable Vector Network Analyzer (VNA) with a measurement frequency range of 1 MHz to 6300 MHz, capable of measuring S11 and S21 parameters. ​ ​The VNA6 can be used to test various antennas in the MF/HF/VHF/UHF/SHF bands, such as shortwave antennas, ISM band antennas, WiFi antennas, Bluetooth antennas, GPS antennas, and more. It can also be used to measure RF components such as filters, amplifiers, attenuators, cables, power splitters, couplers, and duplexers, and it supports multiple display formats, including amplitude-frequency curves, phase-frequency curves, VSWR, and Smith charts. ​ ​The VNA6 features an all-touchscreen design, allowing users to quickly adjust frequencies, scales, and add or remove marker points, providing a convenient and smooth operation experience.

VNA6 Fundamentals

A Vector Network Analyzer (VNA) is the most commonly used instrument in the field of radio frequency and microwave engineering. It is used to measure the reflection and transmission characteristics of a Device Under Test (DUT). For example, it can measure antenna impedance, cable loss, filters, power dividers, couplers, duplexers, amplifiers, and more. ​ ​Note that the term 'network' here does not refer to computer networks. The term 'network analyzer' predates the advent of computer networks; at that time, any mention of 'network' invariably referred to electrical networks. Today, when we talk about the objects measured by a network analyzer, we are referring to devices, components, and the like. ​ ​The VNA6 is a dual-port portable vector network analyzer capable of measuring S11 parameters for single-port networks and S11 and S21 parameters for dual-port networks.
